Job 1-5

Man, man, mane…. Imagine minding your business, then BAM! Your house collapses, your dog gets run over, you lose your job, you find out your accountant has been embezzling your money and you’re broke…..AND someone ate your wings out of the fridge!!!!! If it aint one thing it’s ANOTHER! All that may seem horrible, but it pales in comparison to what Job experienced. Job goes through the unimaginable, and his initial response would surprise most people. Because if we are being honest, it’s the opposite of what most people would do if faced with a similar situation. We are introduced to the idea of the good suffering “without” cause. I’m not gonna hold y’all, a lot of people question this book really heavily. They may even question God. But I challenge you all to keep an open mind as we explore the book of Job. Ask yourselves, “Is God Lord of my life? Can/ Will I accept the good as well as the bad? Can I keep the posture of praise when the world is falling down around me?” Get ready to have your theology tested with this one. Buckle up…..
