Jeremiah 38-40, Psalms 74&79
The pressure is definitely getting worser in these chapters. From Jeremiah being thrown in a cistern (think of a giant hole for storing water) with no food or water, the Lord warning King Zedekiah YET again only for him to ignore it, then here comes the FALL of Jerusalem!!! They are under siege y’all! Nebuchadnezzar and his folks have come in to take over and take captives…. But even in the midst of all of that, we still see God’s loving hand toward his people. Not everyone was carried off or struck down by the sword, and Jeremiah was delivered from that cistern, his life was spared, and he didn’t have to go to Babylon. And can we talk about how Asaph was in his prophetic bag, but most importantly in step with the Holy Spirit, when it came to psalms 74&79. Out here screaming “Lord Help us, we are hurting over here! How long are we going to be down and out like this??” I don’t want to give tooo many spoilers out though! I hope you all read and studied.
